Here is my 2nd 2019 NFL Mock Draft for the 1st Round (Post Free Agency edition) as we are weeks away from the 2019 NL Draft.

We are so close yet so far away to the 2019 NFL Draft as many offseason moves have happened since my last pre-combine mock draft last month. While teams have addressed some or most of their needs in free agency, there are still plenty of holes to fill for each team as draft rumors are always abundant this time of year.

Thanks to The Draft Network as I did this mock draft on their simulator with no trades. This is not my final mock draft, as the draft is about three weeks away. The last mock draft, which is two rounds with no trades, will be coming up on the week of the draft. But for now, I will be explaining the top 10 picks for the 1st round in this mock draft.

Arizona Cardinals: Kyler Murray- QB, Oklahoma

Everyone by now has heard the Kyler Murray and Kliff Kingsbury connections and while I would not give up on Josh Rosen after year one, it does make sense for Kingsbury to get the guy that will run his system the best it can be. Murray would offer more than Rosen stylistically as his mobility and can be a playmaker that would help the team win more games without much around him.

San Francisco 49ers: Nick Bosa- EDGE, Ohio State

The 49ers still need another edge rusher to pair with Dee Ford (Chiefs) as they would be elated to get Nick Bosa. Bosa is considered the top prospect in this year’s draft and would instantly make the 49ers defensive line one of the best in the NFL with Deforest Buckner, Arik Armstead, and Solomon Thomas rushing from the interior.

New York Jets: Josh Allen- EDGE, Kentucky

After Anthony Barr (Vikings) backed out from signing with the Jets, the Jets did not address their edge rush situation as it is possibly their biggest need heading into the 2019 NFL Draft. Allen will improve their pass rush immensely as he gives the Jets some speed on the outside and fits their 3-4 defense under Gregg Williams.

Oakland Raiders: Quinnen Williams- IDL, Alabama

Jon Gruden gets his “Gruden Grinder” in Alabama’s Quinnen Williams as they have made a plethora of moves this offseason. Williams is essentially the best player available here as one of the top prospects and despite a crowded defensive tackle group, Gruden cannot pass up on this caliber of player.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Devin White- LB, LSU

With Todd Bowles switching the defense to a 3-4, taking the LSU linebacker Devin White would make the loss of Kwon Alexander (49ers) nonexistent. An improved linebacker core of White, Lavonte David, Shaquille Barret (Denver Broncos) would make a struggling defense much better as White gives then a true inside linebacker in the middle.

New York Giants: Dwayne Haskins- QB, Ohio State

David Gettleman can defend Eli Manning all he wants but all in all, they need to find his successor in 2019 and they do so here with Dwayne Haskins. The best fit for the Ohio State quarterback is the Giants as he would not have to play right away and his strengths as a passer fit what they are looking for in a run-first offense with Saquon Barkley.

Jacksonville Jaguars- Jawaan Taylor- T, Florida

The Jaguars offensive line suffered massive injuries last year and the offense struggling cannot happen again with Nick Foles now under center. Florida offensive tackle Jawaan Taylor would give them a starter at right tackle land but could play left tackle if Cam Robinson is out again and would help stabilize the offensive line as a whole.

Detroit Lions: Brian Burns- EDGE, Florida State

Matt Patricia gets some familiarity to his defense in signing Trey Flowers (Patriots) in free agency but could use a real edge presence on their defense. Both Flowers and Da’Shawn Hand can move around the defensive line, while Florida State edge rusher Brian Burns would give them a different presence on the outside with speed and versatility at defensive end/ outside linebacker.

Buffalo Bills: Ed Oliver- IDL, Houston

The Bills have made tons of moves to the offense in free agency, giving Josh Allen some protection on the offensive line and some weapons at wide receiver. They are lacking an interior pass rusher however and they get one in Houston’s Ed Oliver as he can make an impact as a gap penetrator for their defense next to Star Lotulelei to replace Kyle Williams (retired).

Denver Broncos: Devin Bush- LB, Michigan

Vic Fangio gets his next “Roquan Smith” in Devin Bush for his defense that can be a tone-setter next to Todd Davis. The Broncos ed to replace Brandon Marshall (Raiders) and Bush would give them speed at inside linebacker that will complement Davis.
