3 From Hell (Trailer) – Rob Zombie Classic Is Back
If you were waiting for the next story in the House of 1,000 Corpses movies then we’ve got news for you. The Firefly family is back and creepier than every in the latest film 3 From Hell with a release date only listed as “2019” and no plot details have been listed. From the trailer alone, we know of the reprised roles and it will again be directed by Rob Zombie
Getting his start as a member of White Zombie, Rob has dabbled in a bit of everything. From voice work on movies like animated versions of Spiderman and Justice League to appearing as himself multiple times on film, he’s done it all. This time stepping back into the director’s chair with his second sequel to House of 1,000 Corpses.
It’s been 14 years since we’ve seen anything out of these films and 16 since the original. Other than nostalgia for a horror film long forgotten, just how much attention will this film get? It seems like the perfect time to dive back into the story as thanks to a slew of newcomers, the horror genre is picking back up.
Rob Zombie is no stranger to the horror genre having directed both 2007’s Halloween remake and it’s sequel in 2009 Halloween II. However, the balance between music and movies keeps his track record short with a small handful of directorial accomplishments behind him. 3 From Hell takes him back to his debut film and a project that caught audiences off guard. House of 1,000 Corpses put his name on the map. Hopefully the latest iteration takes us back to the feel of the original films.
With little released about the film so far, other than the main cast will be returning, it’s hard to get excited about a film we haven’t heard a ton about. 3 From Hell only has a 2019 release date and here we are six and a half months in. Is this movie doomed to fail due to poor marketing, or will it be a viral sensation sprung out of nowhere on your favorite streaming platform? Either way, if 3 From Hell is half as creepy as House of 1,000 Corpses or The Devil’s Rejects than it could scare the hell out of audiences.
