4 Video Games to Try While You’re Waiting On Next Gen Consoles

Video Games Sea of Thieves

We’re all stuck at home looking for the next video games to play. Unfortunately for us all, too many new release games are pushed back for next-gen console release dates. Digging back through our vault and even into some newer expansions, here’s a few games you could check out.

*Game Descriptions from Google*

Star Wars: Squadrons

Star Wars: Squadrons is a space combat game set in the Star Wars universe developed by Motive Studios and published by Electronic Arts. It was released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on October 2, 2020. The game features both multiplayer game modes and a single-player campaign.

This game is for anyone who likes flight simulators. To be completely honest, I suck at flying games so this one isn’t my cup of tea. If you can stomach these types of games and Star Wars, then this is the video game for you as it is challenging and fun to play as long as you can master controls.

Sea of Thieves

Sea of Thieves is a 2018 action-adventure game developed by Rare and published by Xbox Game Studios. The player assumes the role of a pirate who completes voyages from different trading companies to become the ultimate pirate legend.

A bit older of a game but you still get the enjoyment out of it. Sea of Thieves is great for casual gamers and those who like co-ops. You’re a pirate! That’s it. You run around in search of treasure, set sail in the open seas, drink, and lock each other in the brig. Yep, it may be a bit cartoony, but its got all the shenanigans you’d expect a pirate game to have.

Avengers

Marvel’s Avengers is a 2020 action role-playing brawler video game co-developed by Crystal Dynamics and published by Square Enix.

Square Enix has been trying to break past the Final Fantasy market for some time. Developing one of the most popular comic and movie franchises is the right way to do it. If you’re looking to Hulk smash your way through bad guys while playing as your favorite Avengers then look no further. Video games such as Batman and Spider-man have had this playstyle in the past, but with the roster of Avengers, you should be able to keep it fun and fresh.

Borderlands 3 (Expansion) Psycho Krieg and the Fantastic Fustercluck

Psycho Krieg and the Fantastic Fustercluck is a downloadable content pack for Borderlands 3. It adds a new story campaign, new locations, new character costumes, and new enemies. Psycho Krieg and the Fantastic Fustercluck was officially announced on August 25, 2020, and was released on September 10, 2020.

Borderlands is one of those video games that you fall in love with, get bored of, find new content, and full in love with all over again. With their latest expansion, they’ve hit their stride again. The story isn’t as fresh as Borderlands 2 but the chaos and excitement are still jam-packed in there. Diving deep in the mind of Krieg and his psychotic ways this one is sure to be action-packed and fun as ever.
