Keanu Reeves

In the media, there’s always negativity on the news, celebrity gossip, conspiracy, and controversy. It’s not too often we get a look at a world full of good. CavemenRadioShow.com is bringing you a healthy dose of that good with our Top 5 celebrity influences right now:

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson

If ever the world needed an example of resiliency needed The Rock. A beacon of hope for those who struggle to get through life but never give up on their dreams. From his last handful of cash to one of Hollywood’s top-earning celebrities, Dwayne Johnson has proved that there’s a very thin line between failure and success, you just have to be willing to cross it.

He’s gone from WWE superstar to best-selling author, to movie star, to one of social media’s biggest influences and much more. Everything he does seems to be a success. But there was a time where depression was getting the best of him. However, there’s nothing more powerful than putting down your grief and picking up faith in yourself, and there’s nothing you can’t achieve.

Keanu Reeves

Keanu Reeves is the epitome of celebrity influences right now. Between his reemergence as a box office draw to internet memes about the perfect gentleman, Reeves’ star couldn’t be brighter. Fans have fallen in love with him all over again and he deserves every minute. There’s not a moment caught on camera or video that Keanu is seen in a negative light. He’s been a guiding light of not letting the worst of the world get the best of you. He’s kept his head down and kept plugging along and now is universally loved and respected in many circles reminding the world that even as a celebrity, it’s important to be humble.

Zach Levi

Appearing in DC’s box office success of Shazam, Levi has emerged as a fan favorite for a whole new audience. Different from the usual DC inspired films, Shazam appealed more to a family-friendly and younger audience.

On top of his huge success in film, Levi has used his success to speak to a generation of younger fans about mental health and depression. More and more young kids and early adults are battling with depression and there needs to be a guiding light to show they’re not only not alone in their fight, but can still succeed in spite of it. Instead of using the celebrity card to shovel political opinions, he’s using his stage to break the stigma of mental health. A hero on screen and in life.

Jordan Peele

His early days he stared on Mad Tv and eventually transitioned to Key & Peele but Jordan Peele is no “one-trick pony”. He could have very easily took his role as the funny guy in the group and stuck to what he’s good at. Instead, he used his success in one genre to perfect his craft and expand his role in Hollywood.

After his acting roles making the world laugh in his comedic roles, Jordan Peele took his talents behind the camera and created movies that have turned the horror genre around. Without Peele’s movie Get Out, the horror genre was slowly drifting to a supernatural only niche. Get Out brought horror fans back to the psychological horrors which now has transitioned back to slasher films. It’s not all ghost stories anymore, films such as Get Out and Us have brought back more realistic fears and wowed audiences even earning him awards considerations. His success is proving you don’t always have to “stay in your lane” in order to be successful.

Ryan Coogler

Ryan Coogler’s career might not have a long list attached to it but he’s already a huge success. Tied to two of the biggest franchises in movie history in both Rocky and Marvel Ryan Coogler has made his case as one of Hollywood’s best celebrity influences. Both Creed and Black Panther have been universally acclaimed as some of better films of the past few years. In an age of the pursuit of equality, using your art and talent to be the voice of people who often go unheard or ignored can be very powerful. The messages Coogler conveys in his movies speaks to audiences and connects with them. Here’s hoping his career is long-lasting and full of success.
