5 Teams Whose Fans Should Panic After Week 13

Arizona Cardinals QB Kyler Murray

Week 13 of NFL action was anything but fun, but these NFL fans should be up for a rude awakening.

Las Vegas Raiders

LA needed this win to stay in the playoff hunt, and they got it. However, after getting stomped by the Atlanta Falcons, failing to put away an 0-11 is a cause for concern. They’re still in the playoff hunt but that’s nothing to be excited about. There is no way an NFL team who’s expected to go far in the playoffs should lose to a winless team. The Raiders should’ve never had to rely on the Hail Mary pass.  A win is a win, but in no way should Raiders fans get excited.

Arizona Cardinals

No loss is easy to watch, but the Cardinals losing to the Rams was tough. That’s 4 out of their last 5 now, and if not for a last minute hail mary, they would’ve lost all 5. They’re still in the hunt, but losing to a divisional rival puts them two games back in the division alone. If they would’ve won, they’d be tied at 7-5 with the Rams. Now, they’re sitting at 6-6 and are on the outside looking in.

Los Angeles Chargers

For LA, this was probably one of the ugliest losses this season. The Chargers aren’t expected to win much this NFL season, but against an average New England team they looked bad. They have their franchise QB in place with Justin Herbert but this season has to be taking it’s toll. Yes, they’ve had a lot of injuries that hinder progress, but getting blown out by 45 against a team that’s barely .500 is a tough pill to swallow.

New York Jets

Something is wrong when the defensive coordinator gets fired off bad play but your head coach of an 0-12 team still has a job. Maybe Greg Williams’ zero blitz was the final straw, but the Jets division rival Miami Dolphins have been running it all year with success. Flat out, man coverage where the DB got beat. If the play works, he’ll look like a hero. Unfortunately, the play didn’t work. At what point does Adam Gase get held accountable too?

Sam Darnold is taking a step back under Gase, The Jets are getting worse as a team too. Top it all off with Gase being the offensive play caller, and their near the bottom of the NFL on offense. If he returns next season, expect more of the same out of the NYJ.

Seattle Seahawks

Losing to the Giants is tough. While they’re not the only team to do it this season, the loss could cost them the division. They’re tied with the Rams for first place, but LA seems to be coming back around. They’ll for sure make the playoffs but their downfall will be their protection of Russel Wilson. Wilson is talented but can’t win football games on his back. Until Seattle can figure out their protection problems, teams with playoff-caliber defenses will be tough to beat on the road to the Super Bowl.

This NFL season is so bizarre that every teams fans should be in panic mode. Nothing is ordinary and teams could win in the most fluke-ish of ways.
