5 Things to Watch on Streaming This April
There’s new content coming out in the blink of an eye. With new streaming services popping up every day it has to be hard to keep up. Despite all that, we’re exploring five shows or movies you should be watching the moment you can.
Letterkenny – Hulu
Imagine that show, King of the Hill, but live-action, more adult, and Canadian. That’s Letterkenny, a show about a small town in Canada and the different on-goings that happen in a small town. What started off as a web series quickly developed into one of the funnier shows on streaming. Letterkenny is filled with faced-paced jokes and quotable moments.
Young Rock – NBC
If you grew up watching the “Attitude Era” of the WWE, surely you already know the career path of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. While most people outside of wrestling know him for his action/comedies, he had a whole different career path than big-time at the movies. Young Rock is exactly as the title says, a show about a young Dwayne Johnson and the life lessons that lead him to a career in wrestling. Streaming “next day” on Hulu.

The Goldbergs – ABC
A show that was taken off our watch list on a weekly basis, shows back up in our streaming must-haves. During a time of quarantine and uncertainty, we could all use a good dose of nostalgia and The Goldbergs delivers. Set in the ’80s, it’s a show ultimately about family and all the dysfunction that leads us to loving them more. It might teeter on the tad cheesy side, but that was the 80’s, so you can’t knock it. Also streaming “next day” on Hulu.
Star Wars: The Clone Wars – Disney+
If you love Star Wars and can’t get enough, while simultaneously trying to figure out how to get your kids to watch, try The Clone Wars. It’s an animated series with plenty of seasons to keep you busy. Throwing all the way back to the prequel series, it dives much deeper into character backstories. If you already love The Mandalorian and don’t mind animation, then The Clone Wars has to be on your list as more characters from one show up on the other.
Mythic Quest – Apple TV+
Yes, we’ve pumped this show before and yes, we’re pumping it again. If you’re a gamer and need a show worthy of a few good laughs then Mythic Quest is where to start. Not only did it have a solid first season, but they’ve also dropped two additional episodes for bonus content. There’s the pandemic episode that shows the depth of the characters, and there’s the pre-season 2 bonus episode that perfectly ties in the hope we all need these days, and puts the comedy spin on it.
While there’s plenty to watch on television, finding content on streaming can be overwhelming. No worries, we’ll do the leg work for you. Keep checking back for more streaming content.
