Entertainment: Donald Trump is not a fan of Melissa McCarthy and Saturday Night Live

It seems that the President Donald Trump is not happy with the people of Saturday Night Live. It seems that Trump is not pleased with Saturday Night Live making his administration look weak. Since Donald Trump won the 2016 election and was sworn in as the 45th president, it seems that Saturday Night Live is getting under his skin. Over the last few months, Alec Baldwin has portrayed Donald Trump and recently Saturday Night Live had actress Melissa McCarthy portray Trump’s press secretary Sean Spicer. However, while Sean Spicer tried to show that he was trying to have a sense of humor, his boss did not find it funny and hated the fact that Saturday Night Live had a woman portray him. Trump basically put it that SNL made him look weak.

As Donald Trump has been president, it seems that little things that shouldn’t affect him are affecting him. I am not sure if Trump is not aware of this, but Saturday Night Live has poked fun at the president since it began. Saturday Night Live has been on the air for the better part of forty years and has always poked fun at the president. However, unlike previous presidents, Trump is making a deal out it.

Apparently, the skit that aired on Saturday Night made the White House staff feel uncomfortable. As someone who has seen Saturday Night Live over the years, I don’t see any issue with what Melissa McCarthy did. I truly figured she did a well enough job as the press secretary that I could see her being on more than once. After the skit aired, there were people all over the internet who were comparing her performance to the likes of when Tina Fay portrayed Sarah Palin, Larry David portrayed Bernie Sanders, and most recently when Alec Baldwin portrayed President Donald Trump.

Personally, I find it ridiculous that the President becomes so upset by what is done on Saturday Night Live. I am sorry, but if you’re the President of the United States, you should have bigger concerns to worry about than what is done on Saturday Night Live. Also if Trump thinks that Saturday Night Live will stop poking fun at his administration, sorry to break it to him but they won’t. Saturday Night Live has done this type of stuff for the better part of 40 years. In case you missed Melissa McCarthy’s portrayal of White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer, here is the clip:
