WWE: Nikki Bella to take time off after Wrestlemania
Over the last few weeks, there have been rumors going around the WWE that Nikki Bella is going to be retiring after Wrestlemania. However, it doesn’t seem like that as of this writing. It is now being reported that the plan for Nikki Bella is to take time off after Wrestlemania 33 and have matches at the bigger events like the Royal Rumble.
It should be noted that Nikki Bella was one of several WWE superstars to be placed on the shelf prior to Wrestlemania 32 in Dallas. She had a serve neck injury that many thought would have ended her career. She went to have surgery and there was still a ton of doubt that Nikki Bella would return to the WWE ring. However, she would end up making her return at Summerslam as the replacement for Eva Marie in the six-woman tag match. It was figured that if she did return, that she would end up being a part-timer and give her neck more time to heal. However, that would not be the case as she went back to be full-time.
Ryan Satin of the Pro Wrestling Sheet who was the first to report this would end up reporting that Nikki Bella was taking time off to both allow her neck to heal more and that she simply can not keep up with the travel schedule. It has been rumored for some time that Nikki Bella’s Wrestlemania plans are going to be involving the two power couples of WWE that are John Cena and Nikki Bella go up against the Miz and Maryse. It has also been rumored that this feud could possibly begin at this Sunday’s Elimination Chamber. Nikki Bella would end up getting brought into the feud between the Miz and John Cena as a way to make it an even level field.
