WWE: What My Mount Rushmore Looks Like

When it comes to sports, it seems there is always one question brought up, “Who would be the Mount Rushmore of [Insert major sports league here]?” This has lead to many fans getting into arguments and heated discussions, as there really isn’t a right or wrong answer.

So I decided I wanted to look at the Mount Rushmore of superstars in the WWE. While you may have your own and you can leave them in the comments below, I would like to submit this as my Mount Rushmore list for WWE.

[Jon]

Without further or do, I now present my Mount Rushmore of WWE

  1. Bruno Sammartino – It would be tough not to include Sammartino on this list. He was a prominent fixture under the McMahon family from 1963- 1988. He ended up wrestling under Vince McMahon Sr and briefly for Vince McMahon. He ended up holding the titles in the WWWF on two different times for approximately 4,040 days or roughly eleven years. The first title he won on May 17, 1963 would end up lasting 2,803 days and would end up getting dethroned by Ivan Koloff in 1971. The second reign for Sammartino would begin on December 10, 1973 and would end up lasting for 1,237 days when he would get beaten by Superstar Billy Graham. Overall, he was a major fixture during the early days and was the face of the company for the better part of close to three decades.
  2. Vince McMahon – This one is a no-brainer. If it wasn’t for this man, there wouldn’t be a WWE. While some have said that he did a lot of dirty moves, he still revolutionized the industry. He was the one who had the idea of doing a pay-per-view. He is the mind behind the machine and if it wasn’t for him, who honestly knows what this industry would be like now.
  3. John Cena – It seems that he has been in the top spot for the WWE since he was called up in 2002. Since then, he has gone on to win 25 titles with 16 of them being as the world champion. He is also a 5x US Title Champion, 4x Tag Team Champion, Money in the Bank winner in 2012, 2x Royal Rumble Winner, and a 3x Superstar of the Year. He also has the fourth longest number of combined days as WWE Champion behind Bruno Sammartino, Bob Backlund, and Hulk Hogan. He has also gone on to main event Wrestlemania five different times. He also makes the most money for the WWE as he is number one in sales.
  4. The Undertaker – He has been involved in the WWE since 1990 when he would make his debut at the Survivor Series event. He would go on to have a historical career that saw him win the title four times and the WWE World Heavyweight Title three times. He is also the winner of the 2007 Royal Rumble. However, what he is more known for is for going undefeated in twenty-one straight Wrestlemania shows, where he would end up suffering his first lost at Wrestlemania 30 against Brock Lesnar. This was my list as I picked people who had the biggest impact on the wrestling landscape, you are more than welcome to let us know what your Mount Rushmore list is of the WWE in the comments below.
