AEW: As announced on AEW Dark, a woman’s match added to Full Gear
All Elite Wrestling has done a lot in less than a year. This Saturday, they are set to hold their first Full Gear on the B/R App. It will be live from the Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore and on paper looks like AEW hit another home run. Prior to today, we knew of a few of the matches. The confirmed matches were Adam “Hangman” Page taking on Pac, The Young Bucks taking on Pride ‘N’ Powerful, Jon Moxley taking on Kenny Omega in a non-sanctioned match, and Cody Rhodes taking on Chris Jericho for the AEW World Heavyweight Championship.
On AEW Dark, we found out the only known women’s match for the card. We will see Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. take on Bea Priestly on the Buy In. These two women have been feuding since Fight for the Fallen. It was at Fight for the Fallen that Britt Baker ended up working the match with a concussion. This feud would intensify at All Out when Britt Baker attacked Bea before she could even get into the Battle Royal. When you look at the AEW Woman’s division, it has been carried by Britt Baker and Riho. I figure the winner of the Baker/Priestly match would be next in line for the woman’s title. This is because they haven’t really established anyone formidable for Riho.
I expect this match to be good as these women have done well with this feud. As far as the rest of the card, I’m expecting the announcement to be SCU vs. Lucha Brothers for the AEW Tag titles. The only match I don’t know how they would do is the Woman’s title match. Like I said, they haven’t established a formidable opponent for Riho. You can go the route of a battle royal, but that was done at All Out a few months ago.
AEW Dynamite airs Wednesday nights and Full Gear is this Saturday live on the B/R Live App.
