AEW: Chris Jericho winning the belt at All Out is benefical
AEW held their second biggest event last night called All Out. On this night we found out a few things. For starters, Nyla Rose will be taking on Riho for the AEW Women’s title on October 2nd.. The Young Bucks and Lucha Brothers damn near killed themselves in their ladder match. Private Party and Jurrasic Express continue to make themselves household names. However, the biggest moment happened at the end of the show.
In the main event, Hangman Adam Page took on Chris Jericho for the AEW World Championship belt. After going to war for close to thirty minutes, Chris Jericho was able to overcome Adam Page and win the AEW World Championship belt. While many people wanted this to be Adam Page’s moment, Chris Jericho winning the belt is more beneficial for when they go to TV. This was AEW’s last event before TV and that will be the next time we see AEW again. On the Comeback Wrestling Show, the host Jon brought up the point about how AEW will attract the casual fans. I’m talking about the fans who are sitting on their couch and are flipping through the channels and stumbled upon AEW. Chris Jericho brings the name value. Many people know him from his earlier wrestling days or from his music with his band Fozzy. You will have someone who can turn around and say, “ Oh, Chris Jericho is the champion…..let me give this a shot.”
Not taking anything away from Hangman Page, but Jericho was the right choice. At this point, AEW is still trying to establish credibility with a much larger audience, In due time, you will probably see Adam Page hold the title as he was built as a credible face and one who could become the face of the company.
We are a month away from their TV debut on TNT. Stay locked into both the Caveman Radio Show website and the Comeback Wrestling Show as they will get you ready for the revolution. .
Jon is a diehard wrestling fan but still takes time to show his devotion to the Giants, Mets, and Knicks
