AEW has a ton of talented wrestlers. Some are veterans like Dustin Rhodes, Chris Jericho, and Jon Moxley. Some are coming on the scene like Hangman Page, Evil Uno, and Britt Baker. There are some who have a very bright future like MJF, Jungle Boy, Luchasauraus, and Orange Cassidy. However, there’s one wrestler who could be seen as a veteran, but it seems this wrestler is able to tell a great story with whomever he is in the ring with.

I’m talking about EVP, Cody Rhodes. Other than being a talented wrestler, Cody Rhodes tells a great story in the ring. We did see this a lot while he was in the WWE, but it’s gotten more apparent in the days since he has left. His feuds with Chris Jericho and currently with MJF are great, you can even look at the matches he had before Dynamite first aired.

Go back to Double or Nothing in May. His match with Dustin Rhodes was fantastic. The build to it was great as it got you invested. I was lucky enough to be in Vegas for Double or Nothing and I was really looking forward to that match.

If we fast forward to Fyter Fest, he had a match with Darby Allin. The build for that was great because he made Allin in the build and the match itself. I never knew who he was and that match made me know who he was. Finally, he had a match with Shawn Spears at All Out in August.

They also told a great story. In the current feud, he is in with MJF, they are telling a great story. One thing people say is that his father, Dusty Rhodes, was also a great storyteller. What makes a great wrestling match is not only what they do in the ring, but the story they end up telling.
