AEW: Nyla Rose becomes the new woman's champion

On the latest episode, we would see Nyla Rose take on Riho for the AEW Woman’s title. This was a rematch from their encounter on the debut episode of Dynamite. With how they were booking Nyla Rose since she came back from her suspension, it was obvious that she was going to be the one to dethrone the over four-month reign that Riho had.

In addition, wrestling fans were not behind Riho. Now that Nyla Rose is the champion, it is interesting to see what direction they go from here.

There’s one possible way they end up going. I would book to have the rematch happen at Revolution. After this show, there are only two more shows before Chicago. It doesn’t make sense to have the rematch so fast. In addition, I find it very unlikely that Riho takes the belt off of Rose. It is safe to say that Nyla Rose will be getting the belt for some time.

One of the things I would do it book Nyla Rose like a monster. I would have her come into the ring and “squash” every opponent. While your booking Nyla Rose as being this unbeatable monster, you can book Kris Statlander or one of the other Yoshi wrestlers. You want someone to be credible when they cross with Nyla Rose.

I would have Nyla Rose be a lengthy run. I am a believer that if someone holds the title for a while and is on TV every week, they will give the title more credibility. While Rose is big, there’s even bigger news with her winning the belt. She made history as she became the first transgender wrestler to win the title. I am hopeful they don’t put Riho on the backburner now. It will be interesting to see what happens with her going further.
