As we have seen with the WWE, Vince McMahon doesn’t care about tag team wrestling. It has become evident on Raw lately. If you look at social media, people are saying that tag team wrestling is dead in the WWE. While that might be the case, tag team wrestling is lively and great in every promotion outside of the WWE.

Ring of Honor, NJPW, Impact Wrestling, and MLW all have decent tag team divisions. In addition, they know how to use them the right way. However, there is one promotion that will become the savior of tag team wrestling. Since the start of AEW, they have prided themselves on making tag team wrestling relevent. What makes the tag team divison of AEW stand out from the other promotions is they put emphasis on every team. As of this writing, you have the Young Bucks, SCU, Lucha Brothers, The Elite, The Dark Order, The Brotherhood, Best Friends, Angelico and Jack Evans, Private Party, and Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus. There are going to be more teams added to this list in the weeks to come. In AEW’s three events, they have been able to make every team feel important. One of the big matches happening at All Out is the Dark Order vs. Best Friends. Due to how AEW has book the tag team division, this match will come off as being important. An example is look at Private Party. If you were not a fan of HOG, you probably didn’t hear about them. Heading into All Out, you know who they are.

WWE, Ring of Honor, NJPW, and many of the other promotions focus mainly on the titles in the division and may occasionally dab into feuds not surrounding the belts. AEW is starting to show that isn’t the case and every team should be looked at as being worthy.
