AEW: Who should be the first woman champion?
A few days before All Out, the women’s division is shaping up. As of this writing, you have Allie, Awesome Kong, Bea Priestley, Brandi Rhodes, Dr. Britt Baker, Hikaru Shida, Kylie Rae, Leva Bates, Nyla Rose, Penelope Ford, Sadie Gibb, and Rhio. Execpt for Riho, Shida, and Priestley all of these women will probably be involved in the casino battle royal. The winner of this will go on to face Riho or Shida on the premier episode for the women’s belt.
The men’s title match is a bit easier to predict as you have a star already made or you can make a star in Page. The women’s title is a bit tougher because both people in the title match if it’s not Kong are stars you can make. However, there are a few people who come to mind as being ones I could see. At the October 2nd episode, I could see it be Dr. Britt Baker, Allie, or someone who will debut at All Out. I would love to see it be Kylie Rae, but I see them building her up more and make her the underdog of AEW. Something in me says it will probably be Dr. Britt Baker who wins the title in DC. While she would be a star you can build, most of the wrestling world knows who she is.
In all honesty, I see her holding the belt for some time. Due to how small the women’s division is, this gives you time to build up stars. I could see her holding the belt for the rest of 2019 and part of 2020. Then I could see Allie or Kylie Rae being next in line. I don’t see someone like Brandi getting the belt for a while because it would come off very WWE like.
