AEW: Who should win the TNT Championship ?

AEW has been around for some time. In that time In the time that they have been around, they have changed the landscape of wrestling. However, there has been hope that we would get a second men’s single title in AEW. We spoke about here a few months ago. It seems that we have finally gotten our answer as it was answered on the YouTube show, “Road to…..” It was announced that we will be seeing them introduce the TNT Championship in an eight person tournament. In the press release, it was announced that the first four will be announced on the 3/31 AEW Dark episode. The second half will be announced on the weekly AEW Dynamite show.

Also, it was reported that the finals will take place at Double or Nothing in May. That will depend on if the COVID-19 pandemic doesn’t slow down. It will be interesting to see who is chosen in this tournament. My predication is Darby Allin, Pac, Jungle Boy, MJF, Joey Janela, Sammy Guevara, Kip Sabin, and Colt Cabana to round it out. I don’t see MJF or PAC winning because I think they will be in contention for the AEW World Heavyweight title. When you look at who is left, I see Darby Allin winning. Since he debuted last summer, they have been building him up slowly. He has been in the ring with guys Cody and Jericho and has looked great.

I give AEW a lot of credit with how they have booked Allin. Personally, I didn’t know anything about him when he debuted against Cody at Fyter Fest. However, they have made me emotionally invested in his character. When I see him in the ring, I get a mixture of Jeff Hardy and early Sting. Also, you can get behind him with holding the belt.
