AEW: Why Chris Jericho should win the title at All Out
At the end of August, AEW will be holding All Out in Chicago. In what will probably be the main event, Chris Jericho will be taking on Hangman Page to be crowned the 1st AEW World Champion. There’s the talk that putting the belt on Page will create a superstar. While I’m all for putting the belt on Page, I don’t think that will be the best option.
Who ever wins this match will end up representing the company when they move to TV in October. Being that AEW is a brand new company and needs to gain the interest of the casual fans, putting the belt on Jericho would make much more sense. The casual fans are what is the biggest question mark for AEW. I wouldn’t want Jericho to get a long run, but give him enough of a run to help build the belt. If I were Tony Khan, Cody, and the Young Bucks; there would only one way to book this.

Jericho and Page have their match at All Out. It’s a great match and Jericho wins as we see MJF interfere. This leads to Page and MJF going at it on social media and Being the Elite. MJF ends up screwing Page because he feels that Page shouldn’t be in the title picture. Once we get to TV, we see a match between Page and MJF. MJF ends up winning dirty. Then Page goes to his buddies and demands another shot. They claim they didn’t see any cheating/ However, they are intrigued by Page going for the title. Cody then tells Page that he needs to beat certain people. After a few matches, we get the rematch at whatever the first PPV is for AEW in 2020.
Whomever gets the belt at All Out will be worthy. It makes the first couple of episodes very interesting.
