Baltimore Ravens: Panic Mode 2021 Schedule Edition

NFL Lamar Jackson of the Ravens

The AFC North sent three teams to the playoffs last year, but the Baltimore Ravens struggled in a tough conference. Did they make enough moves to avoid panic mode in 2021?

Perfect Spot For A Bye

The Baltimore Ravens get a solid spot for their bye week directly in the middle of their schedule in week 8. The problem with that, they go into the toughest part of their schedule, in the colder weather, with playoffs on the line. If they can start off strong it won’t matter but a stumble to start could make it ugly late in the season.

NFC Power

The Ravens will have a challenge in the AFC but they’ll also need to show big against tough NFC teams. The Packers, Vikings, and Rams will pose a challenge after their bye. The Rams finally have a quarterback that shouldn’t struggle with consistency. If the Packers can get Rodgers back in camp they’ll surely be trouble. Both the Vikings and Lions are wild cards, but if the Ravens can get their offense on the same page at the same time they’ll be tough to beat.

The Rest of the AFC

Not only are there three other teams that will challenge them in their division, but the Dolphins also pushed the playoffs last year. The Raiders weren’t too far off themselves. Kansas City made the Super Bowl. Of course, who knows how good the Chargers will be with Justin Herbert making the second-year leap and finally have a healthy supporting staff around him.

The Baltimore Ravens have been building a playoff competitor for the past couple seasons but if they stumble too early or can’t make a push late in the season, they could be on the outside looking in.
