Black Panther: Wakanda Forever – Stop With The Lazy, Bs Reviews
Now that a week has passed since the premiere of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever everyone has put out their reviews. Some of them are glowing, and some of them call out some minor things, while others just flat-out trash the movie. We need to talk a little bit more about that last bunch. Everyone out there is entitled to their own opinion. I can respect those who give their honest opinion and say with their chest, but some of y’all aren’t being honest. Some of you are just hating on Phase 4, some of you are blatantly obvious with your racially motivated reviews, and there are those who are oversensitive due to female leads.
These people are not giving honest reviews. I’ve seen people on social media say Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is a 5/10, one went as low as 4/10, and clearly, someone begging for attention said 2/10. If you want BP: WF and give this movie a failing grade you’re either trolling for attention or you don’t love movies the way you think you do. Is it the perfect movie in the overall MCU? No, it has its faults. However, you’re going to, with a straight face, give it a 4 and basically say that only 4 out of 10 people will enjoy this movie. If so, have you ever had to deal with the loss of someone you were close with?

Phase 4 is the fallout from Avengers: Endgame with one common theme, grief and loss. When Ironman dies at the end of the Avengers movie we transition to a period of grief and loss. So while your MCU plots aren’t exactly the happy-go-lucky fun factories you’ve enjoyed in the past, most of these movies and shows are designed to connect with the audience. On an emotional level that was thrust into the spotlight with the death of Chadwick Boseman who inspired so many with the Black Panther role, you all fell in love with. Now in Phase 4 when these movies aren’t tailored to your every need, you’re going to trash a movie that perfectly captures that grief and loss? Stop it!
Maybe in the overall scheme of the MCU, this movie wasn’t what you wanted, but it was everything fans needed moving forward. We see the parallels between the loss of T’Challa and the actor who portrayed him. The way Chadwick Boseman suffered in silence, telling no one of his illness to protect the people around him was stride for stride the way T’Challa protected his people. In the same way T’Challa opened up Wakanda to the rest of the world, Chadwick opened up the world to his extraordinary talent by playing some of the most iconic roles.

So maybe Black Panther: Wakanda Forever might not have been the Endgame level event you were looking for but the movie is so much more on a personal level. We knew Chadwick Boseman as a great actor, but everyone involved knew him as a great colleague and friend. While telling the story of a fictional character, Wakanda Forever paralleled the loss of a great actor and friend and you have the nerve to give it a 4 out of 10? From here on out, no one should trust a single review you write, because you’re full of sh-t.
