Candace Parker, Will You Go On A Date With Me?

For the average person to want someone in the spotlight is normal. We see their face on billboards, TV, magazines and that drive to meet them kicks into overdrive.

For me, that individual is Los Angeles Sparks, Candace Parker.

I’ve been made fun of but I like what I like and she has my interest. Parker is beautiful, tall, driven, family oriented and sexy as hell. For years I had to keep my crush to myself, didn’t want to be seen as a home wrecker but she’s single now and I’m ready to make my presence felt.

My crush has nothing to do with her fame, money or accomplishments. If I were to see Parker on any train or street in New York my feelings would not change.

But, how does an average person such as myself get close enough to Parker to show her that she needs a man like me in her life?

Thank God for social media.

This is my first attempt, besides the countless articles that I’ve written about her since her time in the WNBA.

Many will view Parker as being out of my league, while that may be true, I’m not the type to stand by and watch someone else go for what could be mine.

I’m not asking to marry Parker, just a date, a chance encounter for her to get to know me as a person. I’m smart, funny, driven, and been called handsome a time or two in my life. I’m no celebrity, do not have the bank account of a person that owns a Fortune 500 company (I am co-owner of this magazine), I am six-foot-one and mature enough to deal with relationship issues.

I have no idea what Parker seeks in a man. I may not have the qualities she looks for but how would I know that If I never put myself out there in the first place? I have no idea if this will ever reach her but it’s the only way I know to try.

So, Candace Parker, if you’re reading this or one of her friends, all I want is a date. Nothing extravagant, just a simple walk in the park, candlelight dinner and nice conversation.

Are you up for that?
