With Captain Marvel being the next installment in the MCU, March seems so far away. It’s been so long since the snap felt around the world in Avengers: Infinity War but fans can hardly wait for the next film. Only problem is, Captain Marvel will essentially be a prequel to Avengers 4 set in the 90s.
Played by Brie Larson, Captain Marvel is sure to play a big part in the next Avengers film so Marvel has to go back in and give the characters back story revealing her role in the upcoming projects. The best part about a pre Avengers film? We get to go back and see some characters as we’ve never seen them before. Phil Coulson is still alive in the movie universe and not just the show, a pre eye patch Nick Fury, and we have to assume a special cameo or two including the late Stan Lee.

Captain Marvel is said to be one of Marvel Comics strongest heroes. After the way the heroes were manhandled in Infinity War, they’ll need all the strength they can get. Unfortunately if you’re reading this to find out just how strong she is, revealing too many of her powers would potentially spoil some future Avengers 4 storylines so we’ll skip right over it. Let’s just say she’s pretty bad ass and can handle her own against Thanos, sorry Hulk.
Yes, we’re all excited for the next Avengers film as it could very well be the last time we see all these heroes on screen together. After the next film rumor has it the torch will be passed to a new age of heroes with Captain Marvel being the center of attention. That’s an awfully lot of faith to put into a new comer for the MCU. Luckily for us, Brie Larson’s star has risen fast in Hollywood and her acting ability has never come into question earning multiple award nominations.
So many questions need to be answered. Who will be the heroes riding beside her? Will the ones that aren’t perish in battle or ride off into the sunset? How does Carol Danvers change the dynamic of the Avengers team with Steve Rogers at the helm? Which of the faded heroes return to save the day? We won’t get to know until May, but Captain Marvel should hold us over until then.
