Carolina Panthers: Dear Santa, Can You Please Bring Us…?
Dear Santa, I’m writing to you on behalf of the Carolina Panthers football team. I can sit here and ask you to grant me many things on this special day, however, all I want are three things from you.
Please Find Cam Newton Another Receiver
It’s funny when it comes to Newton and his weapons. He seems to have his best years while playing with a bunch of unknown players. Take away Kelvin Benjamin with an injury and they make the Super Bowl. Bring him back and they miss the playoffs. Look at this season. Benjamin is now in Buffalo and the Panthers are tied for first place in the NFC South and more than likely headed to the playoffs. However, that’s not to say that Newton doesn’t deserve a true No. 1 threat. Devin Funchess is not the guy.
[MarkAds]Give Julius Peppers The Strength To play One More Season
Peppers decided to come home before the start of this season and he has not disappointed. While the Panthers figured he would make a few plays, no one pictured him leading the team in sacks with 10 on the year at the age of 37. Peppers only signed a one-year deal for $3.5 million and if his body is up to it, he should give it a go one more time before retiring as a Panther.
Please Do Not Let Sean “P-Diddy” Combs Buy The Panthers
If you cannot grant all three wishes, then please let this be the one you can. For the life of me, Panthers and NFL fans alike, do not let Puff Daddy but the Carolina Panthers. I know he may have said it as a joke, but there is an investor somewhere who may have taken that serious. Diddy might be a good business person in terms of music, clothing, and alcohol but he wants to buy the team for all the wrong reasons. His first order of business is to sign Colin Kaepernick. That alone lets me know he’s not a football fan. He only wants to make a statement.
Thank you,
The Carolina Panthers
