Chicago Fire: Maybe We Haven’t Seen The Last Of Matt Casey
Matt Casey made his supposedly final appearance on the Chicago Fire Season 10 finale. And while not much was said regarding a return, we get the idea that Matt is secure in his place in Oregon. While he and Brett are at a crossroads of sorts, there is still hope for them in the future. However, have we seen the last of Casey?
The Severide and Kidd wedding took place thanks to Casey saving the day in the 11th hour. While everyone had fun, it’s what transpired on their wedding night that may prove that Fire fans may see Casey again.
Severide and Stella made it to the cabin but just as the door was closing, a pickup truck stopped in front of the house. By all accounts, it was Campbell who either followed them or had them followed. Now, Severide and Stella may be in danger but it’s the timeline that should offer fans hope of another Casey appearance.
All this was done in the same episode on the same night of the wedding. Meaning, by all accounts, Casey is still in Chicago spending the night with Brett. There is no way Casey just stayed for the wedding and flew back out to Oregon after the ceremony.

Season 11 will start off with the newlyweds in danger and if either of them can get to a phone, a call will be made for help. At that time, Casey could still very well be in the city or on his way to the airport. If Severide needs Matt, Matt will be there. This could be our chance to see another Matt Casey appearance. However, this could also go very left and this could be the episode where Casey could die.
What that does is write his character off for good. A perfect way to end his run on Chicago Fire. But why go that route? To further the notion that maybe we haven’t seen the last of Casey is the fact that he and Brett are not officially over. Brett loves Chicago and told Casey that his life is there and her’s is here. While their union is still up in the air, all is not lost.
There is still a good chance they can find a way to come together, maybe at the end of the series. What this all boils down to is that we may not have seen the last of Matt Casey.
