What we’re reading

Admittedly so, Marvel doesn’t have a ton of titles on my pull list. It’s not that they’re not putting out good comics, but a lot of them are written or drawn in a style I’m either not used to or not a fan of. With that being said I can never turn down a good X-men story

From the 8/7 pull list, out of all the comics listed, unfortunately I only have one on my pull list House of X #2

The Stand Outs:

House of X is currently the big deal over at Marvel. With Jonathan Hickman writing, we’ve been promised a change from the norm in the X-men world, which is welcomed at this point. The tough sell is the comic alternates weekly with Powers of X. Both of which run at $5.99 and will have 12 issues or $72 bucks for the whole series. However, if you can cough up the dough the stories are said to change the way we view the X-men as a whole and could be worth it to the die-hard fans who are waiting for a more prominent role for the team. Funny enough, the focus on the X-men comics comes just slightly after Disney acquires the movie rights from the purchase of Fox.
