What we’re reading
This is a very short week in our pull list titles which is great. Although we love comics as much as the next reader, summer is the perfect time to get out and have some fun, even though we do enjoy the occasional book to not fall too far behind.
From the 8/7 pull list, I’ll be picking up DCeased #4, Dreaming #12, Green Lantern # 12, Justice League #29, and Lois Lane #2.
The Stand Outs
As much hype as BM/TMNT gets I missed the bandwagon with this one, bogged down by too many titles and before I knew it I was too far gone to start it up. With that being said from the list this week. I’d recommended Lois Lane if you’re looking for a comic that’s not your typical superhero read. Yes, you still get Superman and the entire world with it, but it comes from a different point of view. Switching up our heroes and seeing them from a different perspective is what makes reading comics so fun.
Another great title if you’re looking to pick up something new is Grant Morrison’s current run on the Green Lantern series. It’s a different take on the Green Lantern comics than I’m used to reading but change is always welcomed so characters and stories don’t become stale.
That’s it for this week. If you have any recommendations in DC titles that you think we should pick up, drop me a line on Twitter @CavemenRadio. We’ll talk about comics, movies, sports, television and more.
