What we’re reading

DC has another decent week coming out. Out of the 12 titles, we’re reading 6 of them. Flash will always be one of my favorite comics and Event Leviathan has been fantastic so far. Can’t go wrong with Detective Comics of course

The Stand Outs:

Flash, of course, as the run approaches the 100 issue mark. Barry has been searching for the source of the new forces that coincide with the Speed Force. While some issues have fallen flat along the way, the intrigue and resolve to these new forces have kept me along for the ride. It’s one of those comics where if you stop reading it, you’ll feel like you missed out on the whole plot point.

Justice League Odyssey is probably my dark horse/guilty pleasure read. Its a team of characters that shouldn’t work together that absolutely does. The team of Azrael, Jessica Cruz, Cyborg, Darkseid and Starfire have teamed up to battle against the threat in the Ghost Sector. Never trusting Darkseid puts an interesting spin on the direction the comic is eventually taking us and what could be a big plot twist should keep the story interesting enough to continue reading.
