Deadpool: What is the last hurdle to begin filming the third film?
Disney purchased FOX a few months ago. Since this move, there’s been a lot of talk as to whether or not we will ever see a return of Deadpool. It seems now that we may know a better answer to the question and the meter is going more towards when. The feeling from people close to the situation is sometime in 2022 is when they figure Deadpool will return to the big screen. This interest in the third Deadpool film got even more buzz with Rhett Reese and Paul Warnick’s latest project, Zombieland: Double Tap.
Earlier in the week, both writers revealed that they were planning on continuing their monthly series. This barrier has not been crossed by any MCU movie. It seems that Kevin Fiege is the one who still needs to sign off on doing this film. Since he has a lot on his plate, it will be interesting to see how it all plays out. It’s worth noting that with Disney owning Fox, it will be interesting to see if they change the Deadpool character at all.
Personally I wouldn’t change anything and keep the same format you had in the first two films. What made Deadpool so funny and different is how he talks and his one liners. Deadpool is the one movie that is great cause it’s different. It will be interesting to see what direction this flim takes. We saw Cable in Deadpool 2. My guess is we would see another enemy for Deadpool.
If I were making it, I would have it be Black Swan. With the whole female push, would it be a bad thing to have a female enemy. To make it even better, you could have it be someone from his past who turns our to be Black Swan.
