DeMarcus Cousins Returning To The Sacramento Kings Is A Real Possibility

Demarcus Cousins

Could DeMarcus Cousins come back to Sacramento? Kings fans are asking, as the possibility is a real thing. A lot of writers and analysts will ignore the chances of a Boogie reunion. This is not a joking situation, he very well might sign to play as a King once again.

There is some animosity between Cousins and the Kings General Manager, Vlade Divac and Kings owner, Vivek Randadive. Sacramento agreed to sign Cousins to a supermax deal. During the 2016 All-Star weekend, Divac traded Cousins to New Orleans. Cousins was frustrated, to say the least. Although, as time goes on, so do most grudges.

It’ll be 2.5 years since Cousins got traded to New Orleans. Divac might wish to go after him again. The Kings are a playoff caliber team. It’s clear that Cousins wants to win. If he joins the King’s core of talent, there’s no telling what they are capable of.

It’s a dream to think of Marvin Bagley and Cousins pairing together in the frontcourt. Both can stretch the floor, creating lots of room for players like De’Aaron Fox and Buddy Hield. If Dave Joerger could send out both Bagley and Cousins, he’d have a lot to work with.

You know what you’re getting out of Cousins. There aren’t many that can match the emotion of DeMarcus Cousins. That’s both a good thing and a bad thing, as he’s had some clashes with coaches before, and issues with technical fouls. He’s older now and should have grown up. His ability is worth taking the gamble on, especially if it means the Kings would be one of the league’s best teams.

Cousins has always been a popular player in Sacramento. Fans would love to get him back. He’s the All-Star the team needs to get them over the hump. Signing him would be a dream come true for most fans, who finally feel they have a shot at seeing their team make the playoffs.

Despite what DeMarcus Cousins may have said or done in the past, all will be forgotten if he comes back to Sacramento. Winning makes up for the bad taste he might have left in the mouths of Kings management. It’s a wise move to bring Cousins back. Sacramento is guaranteed a playoff spot with him.
