The Denver Broncos took a step back in 2020. With a new season about to begin, can they finally take that next step forward or will they continue to regress into panic mode?

Light Start

Based on last year’s schedule alone, the Broncos open up with an easier schedule until week 4. The Giants, Jaguars, and Jets didn’t have a winning record in 2020. If they made the right moves in the offseason there’s a good chance they can start off 3-0 this season.

NFC East

The challenges of the NFC will surely catch up with the Broncos this season. They start the season with the Giants but the middle of their schedule is back to back to back NFC East teams. Since teams will have an eye on opponents, they’ll have three straight weeks to review their tapes. Opponents can emulate and take it to Denver if they use it against them.

Tough close

5 of the last 6 division games will be after their week 11 bye. 2/3rds of their season will have gone by before they get a break then they go right into their playoff push against the rest of the division for the bulk. They’ll need to get off to a good start if they end up splitting those games. Sweeping the division is tough and the Broncos will still need to catch up to the rest.

If the Denver Broncos want to get back to championship form, a lot will come down to the offense and who is under center. Despite Drew Luck having mild success, Denver still took on Teddy Bridgewater who’s got veteran experience. Having an offseason will surely help their young players develop.
