Disney+: 5 MCU Characters We Want Solo Shows For
Disney+ has the MCU looking like a fresh start and looking to carry them into their next phase of movies. With shows like WandaVision, Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and Loki we’re getting more of our heroes and their backstories. Going forward, there are a few more we wouldn’t mind getting their own show.
Gamora
With how Gamora exited and re-entered the MCU, there’s plenty of challenges for her overall story arc. Should they decide to give her a show, they could explore her alternate universe explorations. There’d also be room to fold more of her story into the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy sequel. Of course, a post-Thanos life with Nebula and how it affects their adventures going forward would be an interesting and obvious pair up.
Young Nick Fury
With the quest for perfect origin stories, who better to explore than the man who brought them each together. Nick Fury is the most intriguing yet distant story we haven’t got that much on. He seems to hold all the cards in the MCU but how did he get there. Why do people trust him more than any other leader? Take us back to his days and let’s see how Nick Fury became Fury.

Lady Sif
How did one of the main characters from Thor go from being a standout to a guest spot on Agents of S.H.I.E.LD., to nonexistent? Now since she’s supposedly showing up in the fourth installment of Thor, why not explore her character more. She’s been gone but why? Thor’s been off fighting with the Avengers, how has she been protecting her people? With so much focus on Thor and transitioning to a female lead, why not explore on a smaller scale a fan favorite who hasn’t gotten her due.
Okoye
With so much being focused on how to transition the Black Panther franchise without it’s star Chadwick Boseman, plenty of focus will be on the feature films. However, we’ve seen the Dora Milaje in Falcon and the Winter Soldier so they exist outside of just the Black Panther main story. Another strong dominant force who could show just how much it takes to keep worlds protected while our heroes are away.
The Wasp
Ant-Man and the Wasp has an upcoming sequel due later in the release schedule. However, the dynamic between Scott and Hope can set these characters on separate paths as well as have a unified story arc. Heck, hope’s story alone could be well deserving of her own origin prior to getting involved with Scott. While Ant-Man played a key role in the MCU, there’s still plenty of story that doesn’t necessarily need to be involved in the feature films.
By now you noticed that most the list is female. There’s a big issue in the MCU that is not being explored. Sure, Avengers Endgame had that crowd pleasing moment to see all of our female characters involved, but for the most part they’ve been side characters. Why wouldn’t the MCU explore these character’s strengths and push them to center stage.
