Animaniacs set to return with two seasons on Hulu
It has been 20 years since the Animaniacs was on the WB. Now the popular show looks to be returning down the road with new episodes on Hulu.
The Hollywood Reporter announced that Warner Brothers, Hulu, and Animation and Amblin Television will be bringing the show back for a two-season run on Hulu. According to the deal, Hulu will also have the library for other kid classics like Pinky and the Brain, Pinky, Elmyra and the Brain, and the entire history of Tiny Toons Adventures. Those episodes are available now on Hulu.
[JonBlayneAds]Fans of the Animaniacs will need to wait for 2020 to see the series. Hulu will be billing it as being original programming for the entire family. They also reported that Steven Spielberg will be the executive producer. There will also be a return of Pinky and the Brain as well. Craig Erwich, Senior VP of Content at Hulu had some remarks on the announcement. He said, “We cannot wait to work with Steven Spielberg and the entire Amblin and Warner Bros teams to bring more sketches, catchphrases, songs, and laughs from the Animaniacs to kids and adults everywhere.”
The initial run of the show was from 1993-1998. It would end up winning a ton of Daytime Emmy Awards. Although it wasn’t for that long, it still had a major impact on people who were watching. I for one am a huge fan when the show was on. I found them to both entertaining and rather educational. Here is a small clip of the Animaniacs in case you didn’t remember them:
They were one of the most popular kid shows on in the 1990s. Personally, I hope they don’t screw it up because it won’t be the first time that occured.
