King of Queens: The Reboot We’re Ready For
We have seen a ton of reboots on TV as of lately. While there happen to be a ton of reboots, there happen to be one reboot I would love to see happen eventually. It would be the King of Queens. We last saw the Heffernan family in 2007. The show wrapped up when Doug discovers that Carrie did not get rid of her apartment in Manhattan. This would lead Doug to want a divorce from Carrie. They end up trying to work it out. Arthur, Carrie’s father, is set to marry his girlfriend. However, it ends up not working out between them.

Since that show wrapped up, Kevin James has done a few TV shows and so has Leah Remini. Everyone else has not really done anything of noteworthy since the show ended. If the show were to come back, there would be one way to do it. The show would now be surrounded by Doug, Carrie, and their child. However, by the time that the show would be, the child would be 11 years old. In addition, you could have Doug be a manager at IPS. Carrie is now a partner in her law firm. As far as Arthur, I would have him still live in the basement. You could really play off what it would be like to have a child and grandparent living in the house.
As far as the recurring characters go, I wouldn’t change much. The only thing I’d probably change is where Spencer’s life was headed. During the run of the show, he was a nerd who worked at the Subway. I would figure by this point, he would want better for himself. This show would also be successful because it’s very relatable. The show is about a middle- class and the struggles they go through.
