The Lion King Live-Action Trailer 2019
With Disney’s budget seemingly ever growing, they’re pushing the levels of entertainment higher and higher. We grew up loving their stories and loving their sing alongs even more. So many great animated films have been made over time that audiences have grown to love and admire. The Lion King has always had a special place in most viewers hearts and is one of Disney’s most loved creations, so much so it spawned multiple sequels and even a children’s television cartoon.
With most of Disney’s target audience growing up and having kids of their own, it’s no surprise they’re going back and recreating their most successful animated movies. Pushing their limits on visual effects with what some will call live-action, the newer versions of these movies will show off the sense of realism with both the characters and surrounding landscapes. Since The Lion King was one of Disney’s most beautifully animated movies, its no wonder they’ve decided to turn back the clock and reimagine for a younger audience.
Not only has The Lion King been a huge success on the big and small screens, it has grown into a phenomenon past those limits. Since it’s release in 1994, it has had a long standing run as a broadway musical, but it doesn’t stop there. Sega Genesis enthusiasts will remember one of the harder video games they’ve had to deal with on the now defunct console.
Many movie goers see the recreation of time honored films as a money grab, or that studios are running out of ideas. However, as a viewer, I’d rather see an older film brought to life for the next generation of audiences than sequels that drag out and push beloved characters past their original characteristics that made us love them in the first place. The Lion King has so many characters we fell in love with as kids, why shouldn’t we treat our children to the same magic and wonder with an updated film that looks to be visually amazing? The Lion King is set to release July 19,2019.
