Entertainment: James Hetfield to co-star in biopic about Ted Bundy

When you think of movies, the names of Zac Efron and James Hetfield sharing screen time is not what comes to mind. However, it will actually be happening. The two actors will co-star in the latest film adaptation of serial killer Ted Bundy. There is no release date yet. Nonetheless, the film will look at Ted Bundy from the perspective of his girlfriend, Elizabeth Kloepfer. She is struggling to accept the reality of her boyfriend’s nature. The name of the movie is Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile.

My biggest concern with this movie is will Zac Efron be able to be serious in a film. In most of his career, Efron has played comedian roles. It will be interesting to see if he can be serious. It is worth noting that this is James Hetfield’s actor debut. However, it will not be the first time that Hetfield has worked with director Joe Berlinger. Berlinger was also the director for the Metallica documentary Some Kind of Monster. It was reported that Hetfield’s role in the movie is to portray officer Bob Heyward. In fact, in real-life, Officer Heyward was the first person to arrest Bundy back in 1975. Looking at the picture from the set, it is very interesting to see James Hetfield have a clean shave. Along with them covering the tattoos on his hand.

Metallica was in the middle of there latest tour, Hard Wired to Self Destruct Tour. He took a break from the stage to shoot his scenes for the movie. It is worth noting that the cast for this movie is rather interesting. While the only two known roles are Efron and Hetfield, we will see Lilly Collins, Kaya Scodelario, Jim Parsons, and John Malkovich. So, my guess is that Lilly Collins will play the girlfriend. Not sure what everyone else will be playing yet.
