Epcot Needs Attractions Centered On Wall-E and Coco
Disney wants to do more IP’s (Intellectual Properties) at Epcot. There are two certain Pixar films that would fit in rather well. Wall-E and Coco surprisingly don’t have a home at the park. The two Pixar properties would make for some great attractions.
Starting off with Wall-E, it’s surprising the movie doesn’t already have a place in Epcot. Looking at the Living with the Land Pavillion, here’s where you make it work. Wall-E is all about using natural resources responsibly. This goes along with the Living with the Land ride. You could incorporate Wall-E into the show scenes at the beginning.
With the Lion King Circle of Life presentation now over in the Land Pavillion, there’s nothing stopping Disney from doing a short film in that space. If that would be too boring, just have a small stage set up for a very intimate stage show. This would really help hammer the lesson home, especially the kids who don’t fully grasp the Living with the Land attraction.
What about Coco? With the Mexican Pavillion at Epcot, there’s a lot of speculation that the Three Caberlallos water ride might be gutted in favor of Coco. The themeing inside the Pavillion is all there, just a slight revamp of the attraction.
The ride would have bright lights to simulate the move best scenes and feature all of the film’s amazing music. Instead of true Animatronics, the characters are made to look like marionettes. This adds something new to Epcot. If they use the same technology as Shrek at Motiongate in Dubai, this would look perfect.
There are many other ways to use Wall•E and Coco at the park. We’ve already seen the mariachi band playing music from Coco outside the Mexican Pavillion. In addition, there also needs to be a few Coco characters for meet and greet’s.
Epcot needs to add a Wall-E robot as well. This has been done before. Seeing a functioning Wall-E around the park could be one of the coolest things ever seen in a Disney park.
These two classic Pixar films have a place in Epcot. With all the changes going around at the park, these films seem like an effective way to change things up. The use of IP’s isn’t always what guests want, but it’s essential to the growth of the park. Both Wall-E and Coco are great franchises to center new attractions.
