Gaming: 5 Video Games We’d Love To See Made

Disney's Encanto

When it comes to media, reboots are all over the place. Whether it’s movies, tv shows, or even gaming. We’re getting a blast from the past that floods our brain with nostalgia. Gaming has been stale as of late. Call of Duty will only get you so far. Madden is the same thing every year just with new rosters. GTA has apparently given up ever making another sequel. There needs to be a spark in the industry towards new titles. There’s plenty of source material to go off of, so why not create these 5 games down the road and mix things up:

Whacky Races

With the success of Mario Kart and every other copy-cat game, if we’re going to go back to our childhood why not create a game from a show we all knew and loved, Whacky Races. There has been Mario Kart and Diddy Kong Racing, and now a Family Guy racer is on the way. Warner Bros has their version of Super Smash Bros coming, why not expand more into the gaming realm. Since they own the rights to Hannah Barbera, WB Games would have to be the one to create the game. It might be too far gone for a big console game to warrant sales, but a mobile gamer might connect with the older audience.

Wonder Woman

Wonder Woman is a combination of badass fighter and superpowers. Her initial movie in the DCEU was a solid hit. The sequel not so much. While the cinematic universe is expanding for DC, the gaming one has been pretty stale. Now that they’ve expanded past the Batman Arkham games into a Suicide Squad game, maybe Wonder Woman should be next. Superman is apparently too complex and overpowered to convert into a playable game, but Wonder Woman isn’t. Gaming is all about challenges and overcoming bosses which shouldn’t be hard in a WW game.

She uses her whip to get around in the movies, she blocks bullets with her wrists, and the movies slow down into slo-mo action shots so how hard could the transition to console gaming be?

More Gaming: Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands Is A Great Spin-off

Torgue – (A Bordlands Game)

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands has been a huge success for Gearbox right now. The Borderlands spin-off has been a breath of fresh air into the franchise and took a lot of what gamers loved about the original and gave it a Tiny Tina spin. While there are plenty of lovable characters in the franchise who deserve their own game, one major character would be perfect for another spin-off, Mr. Torgue. In a game that celebrates the looter-shooter-tiered rewards, why not add an explosion-loving psychopath to the mix.

Throw in some classic Borderlands-style characters and let the madness begin. With each playable character, you could have long-range explosive devices, short-range exploding traps, or bots that seek out and destroy the closest target. There’s no end to how much could explode.

Encanto

We’ve come a long way since the older days of Disney gaming. The classics on Sega and SNES like The Lion King and Aladdin were staples of early consoles. Disney used to be huge into gaming and since has moved away. Should they want to go back, Encanto could be the first game to explore. First, there’s an entire cast of characters each with their own “gifts”. Why not create a game where each of the characters needs to use their gift to help take on whatever evil plagues the land?

Doctor Strange

Maybe because it’s coming off the newly released movie Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness, but does anyone else think Doctor Strange would be a fun game? The entire concept is made for gaming. A sorcerer who uses his powers to fend off evil and change the world around him to bend to his will, how isn’t that a game. If the Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy deserve a game, then so does Doctor Strange. There are plenty of cool ways to incorporate his powers to face the challenges around him.

What other games would you consider if you ran your own developer?
