People have been hooked on fighting games for as long as we can remember. Even back in the days of SNES, there was Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, Killer Instinct, and of course, Tekken. However, after the success of console gaming crossovers like Super Smash Bros with classic Nintendo characters, it seems everyone is getting in on the mix. Not to be outdone, Warner Bros Gaming is releasing their own, Multiversus

Right off the bat, that’s a cast of characters to get excited for. The main appeal of these arena-style fighting games is to appeal to all audiences young or old. They’re simple yet fun party games that everyone in the family can enjoy.
Of course one of the most exciting parts of this game, it will be free to play. The only downside of that is usually with FTP games, there are microtransactions through the roof. Will it affect how the gameplay is leveled out with pay-to-win? Or will these transactions be on smaller things like skins and various other unlockables? Games don’t just get made out of the goodness of developers’ hearts, they’re here to make money.
Multiversus won’t be as violent as Mortal Kombat and such but will focus more on the antics of its characters. This will be a fun family bonding night. With promised updates and new characters added in the future, this game could have a long shelf life and various sequels if it takes off at all. It will be coming soon to XBOX, PlayStation, and PC in 2022.
