How Does The Santa Clarita Diet Cliffhanger Impact Joel, Sheila, And Abby? (SPOILERS)

What happens now that Joel has been bitten. This creates an interesting dynamic. He’s now the same flesh-eating maniac as Sheila. Seeing as he’s a Knight Of Serbia, what does this do for his status as a member? How will this affect Abby?
We learned in Season 3 that to be a Knight Of Serbia, you needed to claim your first-born as an heir in the event something prevented you from fulfilling your duties. Joel took the pledge as a KOS to help throw the Santa Clarita area off the scent of Sheila. Now that he’s undead, those duties will become a bit harder. And given that Abby is his heir, she’s going to be faced with a tough decision if Joel is caught.
On the chance Joel is discovered, it’ll be Abby who takes control of being a Knight of Serbia. She’s going to be forced to make some tough decisions. Her main goal will be to kill the undead. Assuming Joel is discovered, killing her father (and mother) will be a priority.
It’s going to be impossible for Abby to kill her mother and father. This might cause a reaction within the Kings of Serbia. If she doesn’t fulfill her duties, expect the KOS to be out for vengeance. Not only on her but Sheila and Joel as well.
There’s now a group of undead in the Santa Clarita area. The virus has seemed to of been contained to Sheila, Joel, Ron, and Jean. Ron and Jean are wildcards in this, as they can’t be trusted to not bite humans. If the virus spreads, the more pressure Joel (Assuming he’s not caught) and Abby will be faced with.
If the virus isn’t contained, then they’ll be more Knights of Serbia to finish the job, assuming Joel or Abby don’t remedy the issue first. They can’t afford to let the virus spread much farther into the city. There will be a lot more trained members of Knights of Serbia ready to take out the undead of Santa Clarita. Not only will they kill the undead, but probably Abby as well.
Joel getting bit adds a different twist to Santa Clarita Diet. One of the main storylines to the show was his struggle to remain immortal with Sheila. Now that he is, it’ll be interesting to see how the dynamic changes between the two. Although, when Joel needs to perform his Knight of Serbia duties, will he be up to the task. And if he’s caught, can Abby make the tough decisions?
Things just got a little more intense on Santa Clarita Diet.
