The announcement Wu-Tang Clan fans have been waiting for and expected just came down. Hulu announced this week that there will indeed be a season 2 to the highly popular coming-of-age tale of the legendary Hip-Hop group. In its first season, Wu-Tang: An America Saga was delivered with glowing reviews proving a backstory many fans didn’t know about regarding the group in their earlier days before wide-claim success.

The show chronicles the lives of all members of the group, their family, friends, struggles, and triumphs before they even signed their historic record deals.

When the show aired, it was a huge shocker as loyal fans were given a glimpse into some of the behind-the-scenes issues they had to deal with in the early beginnings. One of the main storylines of the first season was the feud between Raekwon and Ghostface Killah. it was an eye-opener to learn that the two great friends tried to kill one another.

The reason that many fans were a bit skeptical about a second season was the way streaming services (Netflix and Hulu) have handled some of their most successful shows such as Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Marvel’s Runaways, and Cloak and Dagger.

Even one of the most critical sites, Rotten Tomatoes couldn’t resist giving the show a great review:

It’s good and so gritty you’ll need to pick the grit from your teeth afterwards. Dirty’s every gesture-every swigged drink and slinky entrance-is dancerly, in a series that plays like a great piece of work about the quest to achieve freedom of movement.

Fans were a bit nervous that we may never see how the group officially came together and what happened between Ghost and Rae. But with the news that they will be back for another season, Wu-Tang fans can now rejoice and just wait. While there has not been an official release date for Season 2, we know it’s coming for sure.
