Impact Wrestling: Could we get one final match between Motor City Machine Guns and Generation Me
WrestleMania is still a number of months away. During WrestleMania week, you tend to see other shows come to the area and put on a show. One of the promotions that will be having a show during WrestleMania is Impact Wrestling. However, they are going to do something a bit different. When Impact Wrestling holds their show on WrestleMania weekend, they will do it under the TNA name. This is being done as a one night revival move. It is expected that they will try and bring back any TNA superstars that they can.
It seems that Impact executive Scott D’Amore is going after anyone he can get for this show. He even went as far as sending an invite to Nick and Matt Jackson of the Young Bucks. Most wrestling fans remember them as being the Young Bucks and one of the top tag teams in the landscape of professional wrestling. People may forget that Nick and Matt Jackson weren’t always working as the Young Bucks. There was a time that Nick and Matt Jackson were known as Generation Me. This was their name in the early days. The match that is being proposed by Scott D’Amore is to see Generation Me (The Young Bucks) vs. Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin and Alex Shelly).
It will be interesting to see if the Young Bucks do take this offer. They did make it known that they won’t be holding an AEW show during WrestleMania weekend. So you know that they won’t be doing any in-ring work, but maybe we will see them on this show. As a one time thing, I’m ok with this move. This is similar to when WWE did the ECW One Night Stand back in 2005. The show won’t further any storylines and is being used a celebration of the past.
