Impact Wrestling: Tessa Blanchard is someone who you be the face of your company
In a couple of days, Impact Wrestling will be holding its first PPV of 2020 in Hard to Kill. The main event will see Sami Callahan defend his title against the number 1 contender, Tessa Blanchard. This will be the first time that a woman will be challenging for the top title in a promotion. I may not be going out on a limb, but I feel that when Impact Wrestling comes on TV next week, there will be a new Impact Champion.
You have the chance to make history and have the wrestling world talk about it, you would be a fool not to pull the trigger. If Tessa Blanchard is going to win the title, it will make things very interesting. On one side, you will have the old-school fans who don’t like it. These are the fans who are stuck in their way and don’t think women should be on the same level as their male counterparts. On the other side, you will have people who will love/like this move.
For me, I would love this move. Tessa Blanchard is someone who comes as someone who fans can get behind. She’s talented in the ring and on the microphone. It’s also worth noting that she would bring more eyes to the product. Like it’s been mentioned since the match was announced. There has never been a woman in the pro wrestling landscape who held the top title. The closest we ever got to this was back in the Attitude Era when WWF superstar Chyna held the IC belt.
On the other side, Sami Callahan is not someone who needs to be taken lightly. He’s a talented wrestler and won’t make it easy for Tessa. One other thing that needs to be looked at is Tessa Blanchard would need to step her game up. You would have many guys like Brian Cage, Sami Callahan, or others who’d be going for her belt.
