Challenging AFC Open

The NFC East in the first two weeks might be a challenge, but it’s the following run of AFC teams that will be the real challenge. The Chiefs, Browns, Raiders, and Ravens were either in the playoffs or pushing a for a spot. The first quarter of their schedule will show just how legit they’ll be in 2021. They’ll need to manage at least three wins before the bye in week 7 as it won’t get any easier from there.

Post Bye Week Trouble

Not only wil the Chargers face an uphill battle before their bye, they’ll have a tough run after as well. With the revamped Patriots, Steelers, and Chiefs again, just to start. Then There’s the Vikings and Eagles who ought to have better seasons this year as well. The Chargers 2021 schedule will definitely show if they’re real contenders for the long haul.

Second Year Jump

The Chargers seem to have found the answer at quarterback with Justin Herbert, but he’ll need to prove he has a next level. While he looked the part last year, he has to prove that he can win and not just close games. Herbert needs to prove he has what it takes to overcome large deficits as well. Their rival Chiefs have a stranglehold on the AFC and if they want to keep the pace, they’ll need to be able to score points at will and Herbert will have to kick it up to 11.

The Los Angeles Chargers have plenty of potential. Now they just need to prove they belong.
