What we’re reading
A few Marvel titles here we’re on board with. Amazing Spider-Man has been a good read so far. Loki just started but we’re definitely intrigued. Miles Morales has been a good throw back to the younger days of Spider-Man. House of X and Powers of X are great companion series.
The Stand Outs:
Must be a good week for the Spider-Man universe. Two Carnage, FNSM, Gwenpool, Miles Morales and Symbiotic Spider-man making up roughly 30% of the releases this week. If we had to throw our names into a hat for a new title we’d have to check out Star Wars Target Vader, we’ve heard nothing but good about the Star Wars titles despite never reading them.
Carnage has always been one of the most chaotic yet fun characters. While it’s been a while since we’ve actually picked up one of the titles, the Symbiotes like Venom and Carnage stretch comics down a darker path. More often than not they’re filled with some of the best artwork in their runs as well.
That’s it for this week. If you have any recommendations in Marvel titles that you think we should pick up, by all means let me know by dropping me a line on Twitter @CavemenRadio. We’ll talk comics, movies, sports, television and more. We also follow back all our followers.
