Marvel: It’s Time To Add Quake and Ghostrider To The Defenders

Marvel

One thing we can say about Marvel is that they’re not ones to hold back punches. When Netflix canceled their popular shows, Daredevil, Jessica Jones, The Punisher, Iron Fist, and Luke Cage, that left fans wondering not only if there would be a reboot but will any of the old cast return to their roles? Well, Marvel is planning to move forward with some of the old cast and this bodes well for hopefully a new-look Defenders series. But there should be two new additions. It’s time to bring in Quake and Ghostrider.

With Daredevil popping up in Spider-Man: No Way Home and The Kingpin being showcased in Hawkeye, the door is now wide open for everyone to make a return. However, according to reports, the one face we may not see is Finn Jones who played Iron Fist. But that leaves the door open to add additional talent.

It is now being reported that Daredevil and Jessica Jones will join the new show Echo. Luke Cage is slated to make an appearance down the line in a Marvel show but with a new lease over at Disney+, the time is now to set a new standard and give fans what they want since we know that everything in the MCU is connected somehow.

Marvel had huge success with Marvel Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and while the show is off the air, fans have been clamoring for at least two cast members to make their appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. One of the best storylines that Shield provided was one that featured the growing bond between Quake and Ghostrider.

Since there has been no mention of a feature film, maybe they should give it another run on the small screen. Pairing him with Daredevil, Luke, Jessica, Echo, and Daisy would make the new-look Defenders better than the original.

What made The Defenders stand out was that it was a different take than what was going on with The Avengers. There was no hammer-throwing god. No suit of armor, or a beast made by radiation. The Defenders were more of a hand-to-hand combat type of show and that fits well for the small screen. But new additions are still needed.

While each show has run its course, that’s not to say that new storylines are out of the question. To be fair, Daredevil has unfinished business with Kingpin and so does Echo. Let’s also remember that Luke and Jessica believe that Daredevil is dead. Now you add in Ghostrider who has ties to Kingpin as well, and NYC becomes another battle stage for good vs evil. For Quake, she could be on the search for Ghostrider after his disappearance on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

The bigger question is can this be done and done correctly? Yes. Daredevil has a proven record. While many were on the fence regarding Jessica Jones, she does add comic relief. Luke Cage is a fan favorite and by the looks of things, Echo is heading in that direction. Quake is a Marvel favorite and will add that mystical element that’s been missing in The Defenders Saga. Adding Ghostrider is the icing on the cake.

It doesn’t matter what villain they face, this group of unlikely heroes will put fear into anyone. But wait, is there room for one more? What about She-Hulk?
