Marvel: Will We Ever Get A Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends Movie?
With the success of Spider-Man: Homecoming and Spider-Man: Far Away From Home plus his roles in Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, and Endgame it begs the question if we will get the true version of Peter Parker growing up? When Sony decided to partner with Marvel and give permission for him to appear in Civil War, fans applauded the new-look Spider-Man. Now it’s time for them to take his character and build for the future. It’s time Marvel gave us Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends.
Since Marvel decided to bring Spider-Man back to its original roots with Parker back in High School that opens the door for another possibility down the line. After High School, Parker went to college where he teams up with two friends, Bobby Jones (Iceman) and Angelica Jones (Firestar) to fight crime in New York.
As great of a cartoon as this was, it will make for a better version on the big screen.
Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends was the bridge between X-Men and The Avengers. Now that Marvel owns the entire catalog of characters they can now incorporate an even bigger MCU. The success of Homecoming, Far Away From Home, and the expected success of No Way Home is enough proof that fans are still hungry for this version of Peter Parker.
One of the things that took away the allure of Sony’s version of Spider-Man was that Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire were both older than Tom Holland. While each of them added a different element to the role, Holland has proven that he can carry the mantle in other MCU and stand-alone films.

As his character matures, we can see him fitting into the college scene easily. This is why Holland makes the perfect Parker to head up a new Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends franchise.
See, Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends was the show that brought all the Marvel characters together at once. We’re talking Spider-Man, X-Men, and all the Avengers. It would be like watching Infinity War and Endgame on steroids with all the appearances. It would be a headache for the writers but if done correctly, it would go down in history as the greatest superhero movie ever.
Holland can reprise his role as Spider-Man while they could cast Castle actress Molly Quinn as Firestar, Pretty Little Liars actor Tyler Blackburn as Iceman and Marisa Tomei can continue to play Aunt May. While the previous Holland versions focused on Parker’s youth, the next installment, much like The Avengers series could focus on Peter, Bobby, and Angelica as a team.
As an adult, there are times where I wish I could go back in time and relive some of those moments where I got lost in TV land. I love everything that Marvel has put out but I’m still looking for that one that makes me feel like a kid again.
