Miami Dolphins Keys To The Playoff Game Against The Bills
The Miami Dolphins have their backs against the wall in this year’s playoffs. While they have finally made it to the postseason, they’ll face their division rival the Buffalo Bills and they’ll do so without their starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and his backup Teddy Bridgewater. While it’ll be an uphill battle, there are ways to win this weekend.
Offensive:
A third-string rookie quarterback isn’t what you want going into the first playoff game in some time but if the 49ers can do it, why can’t the Miami Dolphins? Skylar Thompson just needs to be more decisive and let it rip. The only problem is that he needs to do so in a way that limits mistakes and takes care of the football. It might be easier said than done and the Dolphins might have to lean more on the run game, but ball control and clock management needs to be their focus. Too bad for them, clock management has been one of their weaknesses. Getting back on the football and hurry-up offense hasn’t been their style. Against an explosive offense, they need to keep the ball out of Buffalo’s hands

Defensive:
On defenese they just need to limit big plays. The Miami Dolphins defense is nowhere near the level it was last season but they have been able to make adjustments late in games. If they can keep the Bills players in front of them with the football and not beat them deep, it will help control the clock. Explosiveness will beat this Dolphins team if they’re not careful. They’ll also need to stop trying to make every big hit. Wrap your guy and slow him down and team tackle. Sloppy mistakes against a tough offense will not fly.
When it comes to the overall probablilty that the Miami Dolphins walk away victorious, its slim to none. The odds are stacked against them. However, in a cold weather game in today’s NFL where anything can happen we’re not ruling them out. Control the football and clock and limit mistakes and hope you can be in the lead when the game is over.
