Miami Dolphins: Lack of Adjustment Dooms This Team
The Miami Dolphins are the worst they’ve looked under Brian Flores. What used to be a strength last year, is now their downfall. So many times this year the Dolphins have been in football games up until halftime then their opponents take over.
If Brian Flores wants to accept the responsibility that’s fine, but clearly the dual offensive coordinator role is a joke. They stick to the game plan far too often even when it’s not working. Yes, they have been handcuffed with limited talent due to injuries and sloppy drafts, but that’s another area they’ve stayed the course.
More Dolphins: Is Stephen Ross the Problem?
They had every opportunity to draft a running back this year and failed to do so despite limited success. There was plenty of opportunities to address the lack of receivers and they drafted one and kept the always hurt core unit. Even with the addition of Will Fuller, this team still can’t find a healthy WR to take the field. All problems they had last season as well.
The Miami Dolphins are getting worse because somehow again, they’re ignoring all positions of need and only going after positions of strength. They loaded up on defense in the offseason and abandoned their veteran players who clearly were the heart of the team. Now the same areas they struggled in last year, they’re struggling in this year.

It all comes back to adjustments and the Dolphins have none. You can’t win in today’s NFL without evolving and changing your play on the field. The Dolphins thought they’d go into this year by getting slightly better in the areas they succeed and teams are exposing the areas they’re not.
Every single game in 2021 has been a game of blown second halves. Teams have the Miami Dolphins figured out and coaches are too young and not creative enough to adjust. Inexperience is dooming this team and there doesn’t seem to be an end in sight. Another blowout loss by the Buffalo Bills shows that this coaching staff will never be able to manage Miami’s shortcomings. Call it close If they can’t seem to step up past what the average NFL coach knows, then the hot seat is going to be on fire by the year’s end.
