Michael Jordan Is Out Of Touch With Steph Curry Comments
What is Michael Jordan smoking? He claims Steph Curry isn’t a Hall of Famer. While it’s hard to argue the GOAT, this time MJ is absolutely wrong. Curry is already one of the NBA’s greats.
We must take what Jordan says with a grain of salt. He’s the same guy who drafted Kwame Brown and can’t seem to figure out the whole evaluating talent thing. What MJ has proven thus far in his post-NBA career, finding and recognizing star players isn’t his strong suit.
How can you not say Steph Curry is a HOF’er? Arguably one of the greatest shooters of all-time, he’s revolutionized the game of basketball. Perhaps no player in this day and age has had more of an impact on the league than Curry. This is a classic case of Jordan being bitter.
It’s not hard to see that Michael Jordan is a bit salty he’s no longer the one who revolutionized the NBA. Curry and his playing style are now what kids emulate on the basketball court. It’s no longer want to be like Mike, rather wanting to be like Steph. Jordan’s ego can’t stand that.
What is a bit puzzling is Jordan making these comments about Steph in the first place. Curry is from North Carolina. He’s very popular among the fans there. Singling out a hometown guy might not be the best way to go about your business.
While not many in the Charlotte area will really think too much of the Jordan comments, it shows how out of touch he is with the rest of the league.
There’s not one NBA executive that feels the way Jordan feels. With the league evolving, the style of play changes, and maybe that’s why Jordan can’t seem to get the Hornets to the postseason. He’s simply out of touch. The NBA style of today has just gone over his head.
For the league’s greatest player to deny Curry the recognition he deserves is a bit offputting. Indeed, Steph is one of the best to ever play the game. Let’s not get too carried away by the Jordan comments, he’s still living in the past.
If you’re Michael Jordan, you shouldn’t speak on this topic. We know he’s not adapted to the current NBA. That’s evident by his GM track record. Curry is the poster child for the league and a future Hall of Fame member. Shame on Jordan for thinking otherwise.
