Mission: Impossible – Fallout (Trailer) – Cavemen Radio Show
With six movies under their belt Mission: Impossible doesn’t seem to be slowing down any time soon. Even though this appears to be the last film in the franchise’s run, early rumblings have praised the film’s early screenings. If the film ends the franchise on a high note, it’s hard to believe that the studio will just let it die.
From imdb.com
“Ethan Hunt and his IMF team, along with some familiar allies, race against time after a mission gone wrong.”
Mission Impossible started out as a short-lived television series in the late 80’s that ran just two years. Now the film franchise has surpassed the original and stood long on its own. With lead actor Tom Cruise returning for each of the sequels, the film has rarely run into continuity issues across now six films. Cruise has been a staple in the M: I films carrying star power to each one. Without him, there’s no doubt the franchise would have already gone through a full reboot.
The odd part about Mission Impossible is they don’t have to reboot the franchise to keep it going. While the Jason Bourne movies have gone back and forth with their brief switch in lead characters, the James Bond franchise has spanned 4 decades of films often switching leading actors. Mission Impossible has built a similar action/spy films with proper directors could follow the same suit. Hopefully, Paramount Pictures is smart enough to follow in MGM/Universal’s footsteps and build a brand rather than just reboot every 3-5 years.
If you’ve followed all the Mission: Impossible films then Mission: Impossible Fallout looks right up your alley. It has the all the action and hype of its predecessors and an Allstar cast. Henry Cavill appears to shake off his do-gooder persona as Superman and looks like, from the trailers, the antagonist in Fallout. For the first time ever the film is set to be released in RealD 3D and IMAX 3D. Scheduled for release on July 27th, 2018. How excited are you for the newest Mission; Impossible?
