While it’s still early in the NBA season, the New York Knicks are not performing well. As of December 6th, they are 4-18. I bring this up because not only are the Knicks the worst team in the Eastern Conference, they own the worst record in the NBA right now.  Also, I would like to mention that this year’s Knicks team has the worst winning percentage at .182. The previous one was in 2015 when they went 17-65. With how bad the season was already, people were expecting to happen.

Fast forward to Friday. As the Knicks were preparing to take on the Indiana Pacers, it seemed that the said change was coming. According to several sources, the Knicks fired head coach David Fizdale. He was only in his second season in NY. While he was not handed the top talent, this was getting bad. Also, it’s tough to feel sorry for Fizdale, he is still getting paid for three years. However, the Knicks have to figure out how to handle there other problems that are could make them go from being a laughing stock to a contender. This is a pipe dream, but this needs to be addressed.

As long as James Dolan is still the owner of this team, they won’t amount to much. He has held this team back for a long time. Dolan has been the owner of the team since the 2000-2001 season. In almost twenty years, the Knicks have been to the playoffs less than half dozen times. They have not amounted to much since he has been the owner. However, I say this is a pipe dream because he won’t sell the team. According to Forbes, the Knicks are the wealthiest team in the NBA. With that being the case, Dolan won’t sell the team.

As long as Dolan is running this team as the owner, they will still be the joke of the NBA.
